We're still fighting the good fight against debt! We have paid off two more accounts and closed 3 credit cards who dared ask us to pay anually for the privelege of carrying their cards. Ha! I guess they haven't heard that we're "WEIRD" now and don't really need them anymore! :)Roger and I went to see the Dave Ramsey Total Money Makeover Live Event. We met up with some of my friends from pinchingyourpennies.com. Altho they are my friends, I hadn't actually met some of them in person so I made this sign so we could find each other. Roger even took a turn holding the sign. What a guy, huh? I love that man. He puts up with alot for me. There wasn't really any new information for us but it is just so motivating to listen to him speak. Roger relates to his accent and I love his sense of humor.
It's funny how after all these years it has been so easy to just change our way of thinking all of the sudden. And each success, each paid off account, just gets us that much more motivated. Our only regret about the Event is that we didn't buy tickets for all the grown kids to come with us. I'm not sure that they are all ready to get "weird" but I think it couldn't hurt to have them hear the words and store them for future use. Dave implied that he would be back next year. If that's the case, we will buy their tickets next year. I'd love for them to find financial security and peace of mind a couple decades sooner than I did, if it's possible.
