Yesterday morning I watched my daughter give birth to a beautiful baby girl. That's the kind of thing that inspires a person to believe in all things great and hopeful about this world.
Yesterday afternoon someone pointed a gun at my other daughter and stole money which they have surely spent by now. I'll bet if you asked them, they probably couldn't even tell you exactly what they spent it on. But to get this insignificant amount of money they threatened the life of a young, single mom.
Which of these events is an accurate representation of the world we live in? I'm afraid to know the answer. :(
