Neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt

There was a neighborhood Easter Egg hunt in our subdivision on Saturday.
It was so fun!
The local fire department was there to sound their horns and sirens to start the hunt, and they also passed out candy.
Jaxon was a little hesitant to participate at first. It's his nature to go in to all new situations with extreme caution. LOL But he got into the spirit pretty quickly.
I snapped a picture of Roger and Jaxon in front of the fire truck. They're a little tense because the firemen were just getting ready to sound off the VERY LOUD siren.
I had to literally force Emily to go to the egg hunt. I think she thinks she's too grown up for such things. But even she warmed up to it and ended up having a great time and staying at the park after the rest of us had gone home.
It was a gorgeous day too! Jackets were optional. Which means, we couldn't find Jaxon's and decided that it wasn't really that chilly anyway. lol But really, it was a gorgeous day.
Jaxon has been playing with Easter eggs ever since.
Next year I want the grandbabies to come to the hunt. It was too late by the time I thought of it this year. I think they would love it too.

we were so sad that we were out of town for the Egg hunt this year. I didn't know the firemen were going to be there, what a fun idea! I'm thinking Summer probably had something to do with that. Thanks for all your sweet comments on my blog :)
