I finished Dexter's quilt!
I think he likes it.
After a holiday full of slightly too delicious food, I was so happy to see a baking sheet full of fresh veggies going into our dinner!
Jaxon had as much fun helping me UNdecorate as he did helping me decorate last month.
Roger and I took Kenzie out to dinner at Thaifoon to celebrate her 19th birthday. *sigh* 19.
Pinkeye = 4 day weekend for Jaxon. Gah!
You'd think the eye drops are made of battery acid the way he protests them.

That post is absolutely to die for!!
HA! And by post I meant quilt! That is why you shouldn't leave comments during dinner when your kids are talking to you...
But your posts are usually to die for too...
wv: ingic. Now I sound like a right ingic
LOL I figures that was what you meant since the rest of the week was good, but not spectacular. ;)
What did you do to the sheet of veggies - meaning how did you bake them? I am looking for new veggie side dishes and this looks like a great combination.
Reesa, I just tossed them with a little olive oil and roasted them to make Roasted Veggie Sandwiches. See this recipe http://toomuch2do2day.blogspot.com/2009/08/roasted-veggie-and-pesto-sandwiches.html
But we used some spinach artichoke dip on the sandwiches instead of pesto. Just because we had it leftover from our New Year's Eve party. Pretty yummy!
Love the quilt! And sorry about the pink eye. I get it a lot. Never had drops, though...
No drops? There's another option? We've only had it a few times in the whole family over the years. It seems to be rampant in Kindergarten though. :P
Oh, yeah. MOST pink eye is viral and you just need to wait it out and use warm compresses on the eye and wash your hands. Drives Isaac batty how often people are RX'd unnecessary drops, though he's had patients DEMAND it before. So I just have him look and he can tell viral or bacterial and I've always only had viral.
Interesting! I didn't really think it was pinkeye at all since all our other experiences involved massive goopage. blech!
His never did get goopy. Just this angry red thing. The school won't let him go back until he's been on drops for 24 hours so I went with it.
Does the presence of goop necessarily determine viral or bacterial?
I'd have to ask Isaac...I've had both.
And that's a bad rule considering I'd never give Sammy drops and would fight it...your school wouldn't like me!
