I started Weight Watchers in February 2009. I weighed 186+pounds and I had a goal to be "Fit by 40". In other words, at a healthy weight (140 was my goal) before my 40th birthday that November.
And I did it! With Weight Watchers and encouragement from a few friends who were also WW members, I achieved my goal relatively easily. In fact, I got a little below my goal which made a total loss of almost 50 lbs.
I felt great!
Staying healthy and staying under the radar of Western medicine is important to me.
But so apparently is food.
So I back slid. All the way back to 174 a few months ago.
I'm back on the path now.
But it is SOOO much harder now.
Still I plug along....
I have reset my goal to 145. I just feel like that will be an easier number to maintain and still enjoy life.
By life I mean food, of course.
15 pounds to go...

I admire your determination. Don't you get umm....I'm not sure what my wording is..but my thoughts (maybe it is my depression)? lol Is like this, "How can you stay / get motivated.. ? I've seen many of my friends go back and forth with yo-yo-ing..? How do you motivate yourself the next time around when you (I would guess) KNOW you're just gonna gain it all back again eventually?" ..? I hesitate to put this out there cuz I really don't mean it to sound bad...I just feel that way myself.. Like why really put your heart and soul in to it when you know its gonna come back at ya later again? I am a bummer I know. Sorry. I commend you REALLY for having the "OOOPMH" to try it yet again.. I remember 10 years ago when we were both doing Atkins and I know that HIGH we can get from it; (and other times after that too)*but maintaining to ME seems impossible. Of course with my health issues, it pretty much IS impossible, but for you, well, yeah, I guess there is my answer..for you it IS possible. And good luck on ThiS journey. You always amaze me with your determination, Trish. Love, *MEL PS wait for menopause..it's a BITCH! lol ;)
