Random thoughts....

~Roger and I voted last night! 15 minutes in and out. I love early voting and living in a small town.

~I made chicken enchiladas for dinner last night. I used the chicken that I canned. They were delicious.

~I am sick of chicken. Not eating it. Trimming it, packaging it, looking at giant plastic bags of chicken blood in my fridge for days now,etc.

~I now have approx. 100 pounds of chicken breasts in my freezer.

~I saved all the trimmings from the chicken breasts to make homemade chicken broth. I froze that too. I'll make broth later. When I'm not sick of chicken.

~I hope the sausage, bean, rice concoction that I put in the crockpot will be good for dinner.

~The whole fam damily is going to the dentist this afternoon. Is it more stressful to take 5 people to the dentist at once or to make 5 separate trips to the dentist? After all these years, I'm still not sure.

~This will be Jaxon's first time at the dentist. I hope I won't regret not making him a seperate appointment.

~I wish there was more time in the day. Hasn't anyone fixed that yet?

~I have too many projects to do and twice as many more that I want to do. (See previous item)

~I have been getting the maintenance done on the van and truck this week. And it has been nice (and different!) to know that the money is there to do it. Because we have a plan this year. And it's working!

~Property taxes are due this month. Roughly $1800 and we have that too. Ya know...because of the plan. No worries.

~While at the Ford dealership getting the previously mentioned maintenance done I was able to actually look closely at the vehicle I want to buy to replace the van. Someday. Before now I have just been admiring them on the street and on the internet. I actually sat in one and asked lots of questions. I didn't drive it because I didn't have a carseat for Jaxon. Good news/Bad news: There was nothing about a closer inspection that changed my mind about the car. Now it'll be even harder to resist buying one. :sigh:

~I'm looking forward to the PYP get together a week from Saturday. It's always so much fun. And we eat at Hamilton's which is DELICIOUS! And this year I won't be taking Jaxon with me. I wonder if he knew that would be a consequence of weaning? Shh...don't tell him.

~I need to get in the shower now. Don't want to arrive at the dentist smelling of raw chicken. :(
