Shake, shake, shake!!!

You might have noticed my "maintenance" weigh in numbers creeping/lurching up lately.
It's probably not right for me to even call it maintenance anymore since I'm up 15 pounds from my goal weight. ugh!
But there it is. The last 6 months of so much change have left me a little down in the dumps. And having a hard time sticking to old formulas that I knew like the back of my own hand, and KNEW to be effective. Why? I don't know.
But maybe, just maybe what I need to do is shake up even those things.
So it's perfect timing that Weight Watchers has changed their program. It's a whole new ball game and I think it is just what I need to get my head back in the game.
So, expect lots of new recipes coming up very soon.
I've spent the morning flipping through one of the new cookbooks that I got for my birthday and figuring up the points for the yummy looking ones based on the new WW calculator.
So excited!!!

Good for you! I look forward to hearing about your progress. :)

Any suggestions for cookbooks with meatless, healthy, tasty meals? Maybe I can request one or two for Christmas...

Yes Eileen! One of my new books is the Good Housekeeping Family Vegetarian Cooking. Lots of great looking recipes in there. I'm working some of them into the meal plan ASAP.

I sadly am in the same boat. I have a good twenty to lose. I was doing great until about three months ago. I am looking forward to hearing about your progress and all your new and exciting recipes.

Thanks for the recommendation! It is hard to find veggie cookbooks that are based on tofu and egg substitutes... Anyway, I'm looking forward to reading your reviews. :)

Question for you: where do I find Tahini? Asian section? Specialty store? I need to look harder apparently.

Also, I found a website where the lady lists a lot of veggie meals--many are ethnic flavors. I don't know if you are interested or not, but here it is in case you are.

Eileen- I buy tahini from Harmon's. It's in their "healthy living" (or something like that) section. My Mom works there and reads my blog (Hi Mom!) so maybe she'll have more helpful info.
Thanks for the website suggestion. I'll definitely check it out.

Thanks Trish! I'll go to Harmon's next time I am in that direction.

(Also, I meant to say cookbooks that ARE NOT filled with tofu recipes. Oops.)

Thanks again! You are amazing!

It's only normal to feel a bit used up after all the work and mental energy selling, buying and moving requires.
Trish!! It's motivating to see you get excited and jazzed about this subject. You make doing this stuff more fun!
Let's do it!!
