The best part?
Mr. Maveryk wasn't feeling very well so I got LOTS of snuggle time. :)
Sad that he was sick though. :( He had a fever and pulled my sweater up over himself in his sleep.
You can't see it but he has a little baby doll against his chest and he was loving on the baby even as he drifted off to sleep. Such a cute little TANK, he is. :)
This week is all about finishing his quilt and making his birthday cake.
The second best part of the day?
This!
My sexy, red Blendtec arrived!!!
I was so excited about it, that we had margaritas for the family dinner that night. And fruit slushy drinks for the kiddos and the preggos. And food, of course.
None of the guys seemed to get why this thing is so great. Maybe I should have told them the stats:
- 13 Amps
- 1560 Watts
- Direct-drive motor
- Solid-state electronics
- 10 Year Warranty
I'm loving it. Can't wait to see what else it will do.
Today I used it to make vegetable broth powder.
I'm going to post the recipe here now, so it doesn't get lost. you can stop reading now if you want. I already showed you the best pics. ;)
Vegetable Broth Powder
2 cups nutritional yeast
1/2 cup sea salt
2 Tablespoons onion powder
1 Tablespoon turmeric
2 teaspoons dried dill weed
2 teaspoons marjoram
2 teaspoons dried lemon peel
1 teaspoon celery seed
1 teaspoon basil
1 teaspoon thyme
1 Tablespoon dried parsley
Put all ingredients, except parsley, in blender. Pulse to a fine powder. Add parsley and pulse a few times to chop.
Store in a jar.
Dissolve 1 Tablespoon in 1 quart of water.
Recipe make 32 Tablespoons of powder.
Or 32 quarts of broth.
Which is equal to 73+ cans of broth for about $5. Nice!!!
I found a link to the recipe on PYP.
The link led to this blog. Which looks awesome! I need to spend some more time checking it out.
Here's the jar of powder
And the first quart of broth I made from it.

That blender is on my -very long- wish list! Very nice!
ooh, that is a thing of beauty! I should be ashamed to wish my own blender would kick the bucket so I'd have reason to buy a sexy new one like yours. ;)
Never heard of this blender. That baby has some power. Maybe my cheapo oster will break some day. I could have a lot of fun making margaritas with that. Love your new "toy"
