Taggie Book!

It worked! Having all my fabric and craft stuff out where I can see it and touch it relit my creative fire!
My creative side collided with my practical side and together they worked up a plan to make a Christmas present for Thena Bean.
KAYLEIGH!! STOP READING NOW IF YOU DON'T WANT TO SPOIL THE SURPRISE!!
(Dave Ramsey says that when you're in debt, Christmas IS a craft!)
This took me about 2 hours to put together and it was fun to reminisce about the origins of all the scraps.
The furry cover is some fabric that I bought a LOOOOONG time ago and started helping Emily make a bunny out of. BTW we finished the bunny today too!
The letters and one of the background fabrics is from Jaxon's nursery set that I made.
There are fabrics and trims from Halloweens past. WAAAY past. LOL
The yellow satin is from Kenzie's costume for a school play.
The back cover is fabric from the quilt I made for Tukker.
Lot's of texture and love for my Thena Bean. :)

You did this just today??? Did I read that right? YOu are amazing! I'm so glad you "relit" your FIRE! I'm trying to do the same with my Music and the Guitar. We all need to "rekindle" every now and then. I think this is a beautiful gift and so special; she will treasure it all her life, I'm sure. I also came across a couple of special fabrics today that I hope to send you if you are still into making my Tarot cloth. ? I decided I would like it to be a special combo of fabrics that *I've* saved and that are meaningful to me, too. If you are still into the project, (and I will happily pay you) I will save more up and then send the fabrics to you. I know now is a busy time of year, but maybe towards the first of '09 if you are still into sewing then. Thanks for the encouraging comment on my profile page. I need to keep POSITIVE so this "thing" doesn't destroy me. It's SO hard Trish. I hurt ALL the time. Love you! xo *Mel
