Emily came home from school quite proud to have received an award for having mastered ALL of the State Core Referenced Tests given at the end of the 2008-2009 school year. So, fourth grade for her.
Of course we are proud of her and we aren't surprised that she did so well. She's a bright girl.
The sad part of this story is that she was one of only 4 students in her class of nearly 30 students who accomplished this.
Clearly some are indeed getting left behind.
