Last chance for cheap(er) gas!

Today is the last day of the stimulus package promotion at Smith's.
We've been making the most of it!
Here's what you do if you have $300, $600 or $1200 lying around.
Go to Smith's and buy a gift card for one of those amounts. They will add 10% to it for free.
So a $300 gift card becomes a $330 giftcard. A $600 giftcard becomes a $660 giftcard and so on...
You'll be using your Fresh Values card to buy that gift card in order to get the 10% added to it so then you'll get a 15 cents off per gallon of gas coupon added to your fresh values card.
And that coupon is good for one fill-up of up to 100 gallons of gas.
Now go to the Smith's fuel station and use the giftcard to pay for your gas.
The first fill-up you'll get a 10% discount basically (because you got 10% of the gift card for free) AND 15 cents off per gallon. It doesn't get any better than that in this day!
After you've used your coupon you'll still be getting the 10% discount. STILL the best deal out there.
We've been driving both vehicles to the station and filling them both from the same pump in the same transaction to maximize the 15 cent discount.

Here's an example of the math.
Let's pretend that gas is the outrageous price of oh say $4.00 per gallon. It's just a shot in the dark cuz gas can't ever get that crazy expensive, right? ;)
And let's pretend you have a vehicle (or two as we do) that holds 50 gallons of gas.

Go buy a $300 gift card and get $30 free by using your Fresh Values card.
Now you also have a 15 cents per gallon discount waiting for you on your FV card.
Go to the fuel station. Press "Pay at Window" or else the pump will shut off at $75 which will only give you enough gas to start the car back up when you're done.
Now scan your FV card and the price will drop 15 cents.
Fill up.
Go to the window and use your gift card to pay $192.50 for $200 worth of gas.
Except you didn't REALLY pay $192.50 because Smith's gave you $19.25 of that for free.
Which means you REALLY only paid $173.25 for $200.00 worth of gas. (Or $3.47 per gallon)
Now that you've used your 15 cent coupon, the rest of the gas you buy with that gift card will only be at a 10% discount. Or $3.60 per gallon using our "way out there" price example of $4.00 per gallon. Still pretty awesome.
Make sense?

The limit per FV card is $1200.
More FV cards equal more cheap(er) gas.
Just sayin'.......
