Wrapping up our crazy month of party after party after party (I'm not complaining.) was little Athena's first birthday. I nicknamed her Thena Bean before she was even born and her face just lights up when I call to her. Such a cutie!We had the party here at our house. It was a pool party but somehow I didn't get outside with our camera. Christy got some super cute pictures though. You can check them out on her blog.
Kayleigh made these cute sunbathing gummy bear cupcakes. They turned out so cute! I like to make the birthday cakes usually but I just felt overwhelmed this month with everything so I passed the apron to Kayleigh and she handled it like a Pro Mommy.
The party was fun. There was lots of visiting with the family and just hanging out together which makes me so happy.
BTW How did June become so CRAZY around here all the sudden anyway?
I used to feel frantic in December/January with all the birthdays and Christmas. And now outta nowhere, our June calendar is crammed full of birthdays (Roger, Jaxon, Heather and Athena), Father's Day (Okay, that one was always there.), Anniversaries (Heather and David, Dennis and Christy - although we didn't celebrate it with them, I'd have loved to. I am so happy that they have each other.) And there is inevitably a graduation or two to celebrate.
OY! What crazy, hectic, frantic, big family fun! I wouldn't trade it for anything. :)

I was thinking the same thing, how did June get to be so busy?? It's flown by. I might survive until school starts after all. :-D
