Not much has been happening around here aside from tending to sick boy. So there hasn't been much to blog about.
But here are a couple things that have been on my mind.
1) You know when it's almost my birthday or Christmas or President's Day and I can't ever think of an answer to the question "What do you want for your birthday/Christmas/Groundhog's Day?"
Well, I finally have an answer! For Mother's Day this year I want professional family photos (8X10 please) of my grown kids' families. How's that? More than 3 months notice. Make it so.
Pretty please? :)
2) Let's have a roll call of visitors. If you visit here, leave a comment, say hello, tell me how you found my blog. Tell me why you read, tell me where you're from, tell me what you had for dinner. It's very nice to meet you! :)
psst! I see you Alice! And it was your super cool family photo in the Christmas Card that helped me decide what to ask for. XOXO

I know you from PYP and more than likely found your blog over there. One of these days we need to meet in real life. Course I still have 50lbs of twin pregnancy weight to lose so don't hold that against me.
I read your blog, T. I am your friend in California and we met online back in the dinosaur days of beeping modems and waiting what seemed hours to get onine. When computers were huge complicated things that had very small memory compared to what we have now. When your kids were still preteens and younger! I am happy to be your friend. :) LOve, Mel
Hay I'm glad you liked the picture. It was very hard to get the little ones to hold still. Thats what I ask for pictures of my family, and I got it so maybe you will get yours before mothers day. Great minds think alike. I didn't fix anything for dinner tonight, because Jim made Fridays no cook nights for me. Isn't that nice. He started it when I started working 2nd shift and I will not let him take it away. Its nice not to have to worry about cooking before going to work. You should have a night that the hubby cooks. He will love me for that one. ha ha. He does make real good homemade biscuits. Anyway I hope you get your pictures real soon. Love you and miss you all. Hope Jaxon is much better.
I think the 8x10's are a lovely idea. Stepmom would love love love to get in on that action!! Their Daddy would like that too!
Spread the word. We'll take the 5x7s. Seems like those photo packages only come with so many 8x10s,... We'll let you and the daughters have those!
Not only would pictures be good for Mother's Day, but great for my family too. :)
Sarahbug from PYP saying hello here. I read because I love to blog-jog, you're recipes and photos are delicious looking, and you're my PYP buddy. I don't remember what I had for dinner last night, its been one of those weeks (as usual in my life) but tonight I'm doing chicken fajitas loaded with peppers- my fav! Yum!
hey Dori! I read because you always either make me laugh or inspire me to do something-so thanks!
and was that a star trek reference I saw in this post?
I am guessing you want non-framed 8x10's right? SO you can frame them as you please? oR do you want us to pick the frames (no white) :)?
"Make it so"?
A trek fan?
If so, I worship you even more profoundly than I had hitherto known.
ROFLOL...I'm so not a Star Trek fan. I mean there was a time when I didn't mind watching it. Many (10+) years ago. But it was never my first choice.
Apparently some of the phrases must have stuck with me though, huh?
I hope I haven't disappointed. ;)
Let's see.. I know you from PYP and my DH has worked on your van. lol I found your blog from PYP.
I love reading it! You're funny and you're always doing something (cooking, cleaning, projects) and I love that it makes me want to do something too. lol
I am christineluvsdan from PYP. I stop by your blog every once in a while, since your link is in your signature.
