The numbers have been crunched and that's where we're at!
It's even more impressive (or nauseating, depending on your perspective) if you factor in the $4K+ we've paid in interest during the past year.
That means we have scraped together over $31,000.00 to pay off debt in 2008.
When we began snowballing on Jan 1, 2008 we were on track to be debt free, except the mortgage, in 49 months.
With the extra payments we've made it's down to 30 months now. But I'm confident that we will achieve it well before then.
1/1/11 is the debt free date we're shooting for.
We are beginning a new budgeting system for this year that should help us plug the slow leaks we've had this past year. No big secret, we're just going to go full tilt on a zero based budget. It isn't a lot but every little bit counts!

Way to go! What an awesome thing to have done! Woot!
WOW!!!! That is amazing, way to go!
AWESOM, Trish!!! You GOTTA help me be better with money. I probably overspent/wasted as much as you saved this year, due to my bad health and getting lazy/depressed about it all. 2009 is going to be different! xo *Mel ps I checked out Dave Ramsey's site yesterday. Do I have to buy his plan to learn how to help myself, or do you know of a list of basic tips or whatever?
Way too cool! It's not just a phase, huh? It's a true paradigm shift. You're family is on it's way to peace and freedom. You are doing it! Yeah!
BTW, you can put that $15 for Kenzie's haircut towards your snowball if you want. We took both girls over to have their hair done right after leaving your house.
Awesome! One day older and $15 less in debt! ;)
